The legend says that liang qichao learnt japanese during his one night journey to japan, which gives you a sense how easy it is. my guess would be, it is as easy as english speaker to learn french. you have at least two advantages, first, many words are known to you.. (4) is it easier to learn chinese after learning japanese or vice versa? i learned chinese after japanese, which i think was the best way for me personally simply because i had a stronger interest in japanese, so for me it was the best “gateway” into asian languages.. But i have heard it is easier to learn to speak and listen in japanese than korean, which really appeals to me since i want to focus on speaking and listening before learning to read and write well i want to know if it easier to learn chinese or japanese after learning korean?.
For me, a native japanese guy, learning chinese characters is just a piece of cake (except for their pronunciations), and the same could be said of chinese people who learn japanese. simplified chinese characters are slightly different from japanese kanji, but this is not a serious problem when learning.. To the untrained and insensitive ear, many asian languages may “sound alike.” however, as you begin to learn japanese, you’ll be easily able to distinguish japanese from korean and chinese.. After learning how to speak chinese, when i came over to japan, i found getting around so much easier. i was like, this! this i can read! the more kanji there was, the happier i was. the premise that you shouldn't learn japanese if you're only a tourist could be extrapolated to say if you are a tourist anywhere you never have to learn the.
